Sylvain is a Brussel based photographer who pursues analog photographic work, as much inspired by the documentary genre as by fashion photography. He is obsessed with the gray zone located between two extremes due to his double heritage between Vietnam and Belgium, this position encourages him to explore the urban interstices as well as interior atmospheres which shape this fragmented universe. The characters who travel through the different series are captured in everyday moments or during various collaborations or commissions with the photographer. Sylvain does not hesitate to compare the softness of colors with raw and contrasting blacks and whites in this logic of looking for the gray area between several elements.

Currently on the third year of photography Bachelier cycle at ERG (Ecole de recherche graphique) and works as a scan operator, salesman and laboratory technician at Laboriver (digital and analog filmlab in the center of Brussels).
